Amanda (Knightley)- who lives in Chicago- chats with both of them and realises all these similarities. She finds it intriguing to play with two very similar guys. But both are falling in love with her. So each Charlie decides to go to Chicago and meet her. And misunderstandings are beginning. When the two guys are meeting one another they both get depression. They try to change, to be diversified but in vain. Amanda helps them find themselves. They end up in a modern 3-pair relationship.

What the Press would say:

Alexander Payne did it again. He directed a movie that the whole nation will discuss. A modern and witty comedy with three beautiful young performers (Rhys-Meyers, Gyllenhaal, Knightley) that will rock the box office and conquer the Hollywood industry. A magnificent original screenplay written by the usual suspects Payne and Taylor paired with the fresh blood of Michael “Little Miss Sunshine” Arndt. The story is full of misunderstandings, jokes, wit, humour and a twist in the end when all 3 decide to live together and enjoy their love in all… orientations!!! This finale gives a punch in the politically correct view of the relationships between and among sexes. Rhys-Meyers and Gyllenhaal give their utmost to impersonate the same character. This is a difficult part. Keira Knightley is sweet and sexy in the supporting role of Amanda.

A movie that will be loved or hated but can’t be ignored. An independent picture that proves that American cinema has future in writing, directing and acting.
