Synopsis: Mrs. Sheridan (Betty White) is the principal of a boarding school named Saint James. Mrs. Sheridan is quiet old and she needs someone to succeed her. Lily McMiller (Glenn Close) is the most likely to be the heiress, but Lily dies, and Sarah Blast (Lisa Kudrow) seems to be the one.

Sarah is a history teacher whom has been in the school for ten years, she is not married and very obsessed with her job, she’s expecting to be the next principal, but everything changes when Juliette (Jennifer Love Hewitt), Lily’s daughter, arrives at the school and starts teaching her mother’s subject. Juliette moves with her husband Henry (Ben Affleck) to the town and quickly everyone loves her, except Sarah, who thinks that Juliette will replace her as heiress. Desperately, Sarah puts everyone against her. The kids hate her, the teachers hate her, even Mrs. Sheridan does.

Juliette wants to move out, but her husband tries to convince her to stay. As his last attempt to make her wife stay, he starts searching something about Sarah. Henry finds in Sarah’s house proofs, she’s a murderer. Henry tells his wife everything and both phone and old friend of theirs, Detective Aaron Watson (Ryan Gosling). Aaron takes more proofs about her murders.

Meanwhile Sarah thinking that is the best moment to become the principal, kills Mrs. Sheridan. Now the school committee have to make a choice: Sarah or Juliette. Sarah thinks she has already won, but the votation night the police rush into the voting room and arrests Sarah accusing her of the murderer of Lily McMiller and Mrs. Sheridan. Juliette become the principal of Saint James.
